The Field Service Technician will be primarily responsible for onsite assistance in migrating acquired firms to Alera’s Enterprise IT standard.
Candidates must be organized, energetic, have a strong customer service personality, love nationwide travel, and be well versed and experienced in Windows environments and networking.
RESPONSIBILITIES Travel nationally up to 75% of your time to new offices to install or swap out IT, VoIP & video conferencing equipment.
Document and audit acquired firms’ technology estate. Troubleshoot basic network and IT Systems, including audio / video systems.
Assist with onboarding of acquisitions by providing end-user and systems support. Work closely with other members of the implementation team on new acquisitions.
Interface with vendors and partners to evaluate and implement onsite solutions including structured cabling and other IT systems.
QUALIFICATIONS Associate’s degree or higher, preferably in an IT, CS, or MIS field. Must be willing to travel nationwide as needed.
Have a minimum of 3 years experience as a systems support technician. Experience with networking in a Windows environment, DNS, DHCP, DFS, and other related technologies.
Understand audio / video components in a corporate environment, preferably Zoom Rooms. Extensive experience documenting technology environments.
Have a reliable method of transportation. Ability to be on call and work off-hours, as needed. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
